Job Details:

• Work in a fast-paced Neurological ICU at a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma facility

• Every other weekend required and holidays per policy

• 1 year of nursing experience required

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required

• Current Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) required

• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients

• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments

• Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary

• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products

• Interact with families regarding care plans during hospitalization and at discharge

• Make referrals for patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff

• Maintain knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures

• Good verbal and written communication skills required

• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
