Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position, requiring an OK or compact RN license and weekend/holiday availability.

• Position is in the Pediatric Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Role involves floating to various pediatric units as assigned
• Patient population includes a range of pediatric cases from simple to complex
• 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Weekend and holiday shifts are required
• Will assume responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric patients during each shift
• Duties include medication administration, IV and blood products management, and assisting physicians with exams and minor procedures
• Requires documenting patient responses and communicating with families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
• Must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Orientation and training will be provided as needed prior to independent assignment

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or a multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Minimum of one year recent nursing experience
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
