American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night-shift hospital assignment requiring PALS certification and prior Level 1 trauma experience.
Details- Pediatric ICU unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- CVICU and NICU experience preferred
- Level 1 trauma center experience required
- Provides nursing care to pediatric patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
- Administers medications, monitors IV infusions and blood products, and documents patient responses to treatment
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- PALS certification (AHA)
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of pediatric patients
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
- Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Facility maintains strict credentialing and compliance deadlines, with no start date flexibility
- Returning workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
