American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Clinic/Radiation Therapy position requiring chemotherapy certification and an OK or compact RN license.
Details- Work in the Radiation Therapy unit of an oncology clinic
- Provides nursing care to oncology patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients
- Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours total
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
- Minimum of 1 year of chemotherapy experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- 1 year of Oncology experience preferred
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Assists physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
- Obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
- Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Facility strictly enforces credentialing deadlines, with no allowance for start date pushes
- Returning workers limited to one extension up to 26 weeks total, requiring a 6-month separation before reapplying
- 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or ending of an assignment
