American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a high-acuity, Level II trauma center requiring NIHSS and ESI certifications and compact RN licensure.
Details- Fast-paced, high-acuity 30-bed Emergency Department seeing 175-200 patients per day
- Unit supports transplant, burn, LVAD, total heart, PICU, NICU, and L&D services with a comprehensive stroke center and ECMO cannulation in the ED
- Also serves as a chest pain center and STEMI/stroke certified facility
- General ED covering combined adult/pediatric populations, with Level II trauma and pediatric ED experience preferred
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Rotating on-call and rotating weekend call required
- Floating required to other units and sister Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius as needed
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
- Active RN license (compact or Oklahoma) required, no pending licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience in an acute care setting required; 3 years preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ESI certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Prior charge nurse experience preferred
- Level I and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Skills in managing psychiatric patients, IV therapy, pediatric emergencies, respiratory care, neurological trauma, and cardiac monitoring preferred
- Experience with arterial line management, central line care, and procedural sedation preferred
- Must be a seasoned RN; travel experience not required
- Valid driver's license or state-issued along with a utility bill in the candidate's name matching a permanent address outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
- Two supervisory references required
- Copies of certifications required for consideration
- Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of high-acuity cases including trauma, cardiac, neurological, pediatric, and psychiatric emergencies
- Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Maintain isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO permitted
- Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be more than 75 miles from the facility
- Former Integris employees must have a minimum 1-year separation from employment to be eligible
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Any gaps in work history of 3 months or more must be explained
