The Nurse Navigator is a nursing specialist responsible for coordinating comprehensive care across the treatment continuum.
Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery. Manages all aspects of treatment, provides education, supports community outreach, and facilitates support groups.
Qualifications & SkillsRequires a graduate from an approved nursing school, with a preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Must have at least 2 years of related experience, ideally in oncology, with experience in patient education and support groups. Active RN licensure and BLS certification are required; oncology or chemotherapy certification is preferred.
Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and kneeling.
Ideal CandidateAn experienced oncology nurse with strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
