American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a nights position requiring Med/Surg and step-down experience with potential float assignments throughout the hospital.
Details- Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit assignment on the 3rd Floor Overflow
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
- Med/Surg and step-down experience required
- May be floated to any area of the hospital
- Active OK or compact multistate RN license (eNLC) required
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
- Provides nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to interventions and treatments
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Administers medications and monitors IV infusions and blood products
- Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no start date flexibility
- 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or termination of assignment
