American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an OK or compact RN license and 1 year of Med/Surg and Step down experience.

• Work in the Medicine Specialty unit (3rd Floor Overflow) of a hospital setting
• Days shift, 12 hours per day, 3 days per week (36 hours weekly)
• Med/Surg and Step down experience required for this unit
• May be floated to any area of the hospital

• Active RN license (OK state or multistate compact eNLC) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

• Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to interventions and treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Workers may extend assignments only once for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no start date pushes allowed
