American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Med Specialty Step Down unit, requiring MS/SD experience and OK or compact RN license.

• Work in the Med Specialty Step Down unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• Care for patients with health issues ranging from simple to complex

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact/eNLC)
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Med/Surg Step Down experience required
• ICU experience and ACLS certification preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and treatment responses
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administer medications and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge education
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no allowance for start date delays
• Returning travelers may extend once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
