American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Medical RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital requiring experience with trach and home ventilator patients and a compact RN license.

• Pediatric Medical unit within a Level 1 trauma hospital
• Cares for patients ranging from newborn to 18 years old without a specific patient population focus
• Experience with respiratory and GI cases preferred due to broad patient mix
• Care for some patients with tracheostomies and home ventilators
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required, including up to 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
• Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

• Provides nursing care to pediatric patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex
• Administers medications, monitors IV infusions and blood products, and documents patient responses to treatment
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates care with families through discharge
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Facility strictly enforces credentialing and compliance deadlines, with no allowance for start date pushes
• Travelers may extend one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• 30-day written notice required to cancel or end an assignment early
