American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a compact RN license and PALS certification.
Details- Pediatric ICU unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
- CVICU and NICU experience preferred
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Active OK or multistate compact RN license
- BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with varying acuity levels
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
- Collaborate with physicians to assist in diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Communicate care plans and discharge instructions to patients and families
- Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
- Strict compliance and credentialing deadlines must be met prior to start
- 30-day written notice required for early assignment cancellation
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
