Travel RN - Telemetry - Direct Observation Unit

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an ER Observation unit, requiring 2 years of experience and an active RN license (Oklahoma or compact).

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Full date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration

• Work in the ER Observation unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• ED and trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Provide nursing care to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document responses to nursing interventions
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed, including administering medications and IV infusions
• Communicate care plans with patients and families and coordinate discharge needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Extensions limited to one time for a maximum of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
• Strict adherence to credentialing and compliance deadlines is required, with no start date flexibility
• 30-day written notice required for early cancellation or end of assignment
