American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN requiring Med/Surg and Step-down experience along with Level 1 trauma center experience.

• Hospital-based Medicine Specialty unit, 3rd Floor Overflow
• 12-hour day shift schedule, 3 days per week
• Patients may float to any area of the hospital
• Level 1 trauma center setting

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact/eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Med/Surg and Step-down experience required
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

• Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Documents patient responses to interventions and treatments, and notes changes in physician orders
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Communicates care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Credentialing and compliance deadlines are strictly enforced with no start date flexibility
