Utility Locator/Designator - SUE - Oklahoma City, OK!

Halff has a current opening for a SUE Technician in our Oklahoma City, OK location.

• Operate various electromagnetic locating equipment, to locate and mark underground utilities within prescribed accuracy limits.
• Read and interpret utility plans/prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
• Provide accurate documentation and/or sketches related to locates completed.
• Operate company vehicle in a safe manner and maintain professional appearance.
• Perform manhole entry using assigned equipment and safety devices.

• 1+ years of locating/designating experience is preferred, however, will consider new grads.
• Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver's License.
• Vac Truck experience is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, including heat and cold.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Possess a meticulous attention to detail and strong ability to promote accuracy. There is very minimal room for error in this position.
• Ability and willingness to follow instructions that may be written, delivered verbally, or conveyed from various methods of communication.
• Must be flexible, dependable, responsible and disciplined to be a positive representative for Halff and remain punctual on a consistent basis.
• Overtime and weekend work may be needed to meet project deadlines.
• Must be able to arrive to work earlier than usual start time, beginning at 6:30am, Monday through Friday.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Will need to have flexibility to travel.
• Ability to pass a drug and background screen.
• High school diploma or GED, at minimum is required.

• Cross-trained personnel make Halff a one-stop shop for client's SUE/utility coordination needs.
• 20+ years of experience with more than 10 million lf of utilities located and more than 10,000 test holes performed.
