Position Overview
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of test plans, test scripts, and process plans for strategic software projects at Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI). The role works alongside members of the Strategic Software Solutions team in a fast‑paced, fluid and dynamic environment to execute and validate test cases based on quality requirements. The position identifies and documents defects, and recommends changes to quality guidelines, sharing their conclusions with the team on a consistent basis.
The Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the end product meets minimum quality standards, is fully functional, and is user‑friendly.
The role requires familiarity with all aspects of quality assurance testing of software, including unit, system, and regression testing. Testing will be performed in various software and reporting systems to validate user expectations and requirements to ensure functionality, reliability, performance, and quality of products. The goal is to provide quality testing throughout the software development life cycle, contributing innovative solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and competitiveness for OBI.
This position will work closely with the Strategic Software Solutions team to assist in achieving overall project success. The role will possess the ability to communicate effectively with all team members in a professional, fast‑paced environment, demonstrating technical knowledge, problem‑resolution skills, and a responsive, friendly, service‑oriented work ethic.
Location & CompensationLocation: Oklahoma City, OK
Pay: Competitive salary based on education and/or experience

Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications- High school degree or GED required
- Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing
- Experience working through the software development life cycle – application design, development, and deployment
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications
- Knowledge of Agile methodology for software development
- Technical writing skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A record of successful delivery to meet organization timelines
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
- Prioritized time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to document procedures and policies
- Service oriented; self‑starter; takes ownership; willing to take on additional responsibility
