Salary Range: $28.00 To $30.00 Hourly
SummaryThe Building Mechanical QA Technician/Auditor performs inspections, testing and sampling activities to ensure that products comply with required specifications, drawings/prints, and other applicable quality requirements. Documents and reports inspection findings including measurements, observations, photographs and maintains detailed records of the findings in the computer system and other internal programs.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities- Should have 5 + years of hands-on experience working in fabrication facility.
- Must be proficient and have computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be proficient and have skills in basic metrology (precision measuring instruments).
- Must be proficient and capable of reading & understanding drawings/prints and specifications.
- Must be Capable of reading and comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Must have experience with inspection of coating thickness and adhesion.
- Should have experience with hydro-testing and leak testing.
- Must have experience with welding inspection.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts.
- Process auditing experience.
- Sense of urgency
- Attention to Detail
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education And ExperienceHigh School Diploma or Equivalent
Prefer at least 5 years' experience with quality inspection activities, fabrication, and/or machining experience including the use of metrology hand tools (micrometers, calipers, tape measures, etc.); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
