Targeted hourly rate of $14.03 to $18.26 dependent upon qualifications and experience.

In a large NIH program award supporting three laboratories focused on the immune response to

C. difficile, the successful candidate will coordinate critical resources and perform experiments that enable laboratories to compare results over time. You will conduct simple research experiments, collect data, maintain records, conduct literature searches, analyze data, and prepare reports.

• Conduct simple research and laboratory analysis including measuring and weighing compounds and solutions, isolating, identifying, and preparing specimens, and collecting samples and other research data.
• Assist with simple clinical research projects, collecting data from patients and/or participants in studies.
• Collect various forms of data for research projects, including database information, patient consent forms, and hard files.
• Interpret and analyze data, discuss findings with the principal investigator, and prepare progress reports.
• Maintain detailed logs of all research‑related activities.
• Conduct literature searches.
• Perform data analyses, interpret results, summarize findings, and present to the principal investigator.
• Perform various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position.

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree in a Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, or other health‑related field.
• Equivalency: 48 months equivalent experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s Degree.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulations.
• Proficiency with computers including data software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of collecting and analyzing data.
• No certifications required.

• Physical:
  • Standing for prolonged periods.

  • Reaching, bending, stooping, and walking.
• Environmental:
  • Laboratory environment.
  • Exposure to chemicals, biohazardous materials, carcinogens, or other hazardous materials.
