Meadowlake Estates in Oklahoma City, OK is a long-term and rehabilitative care facility. We are seeking a Nutrition Services Dietary Aide to join our team and help create a positive and healthy dining experience for residents. The role involves preparing meals, snacks, and hospitality items, setting up dining areas within correct serving times, and working with other department staff to ensure clean, safe, and timely service.

pay range

$13.00/hr - $14.00/hr

Job Duties and Responsibilities Safe Food Handling
  • Understand and follow guidelines for food handling and storage of raw and prepared foods.
  • Test and record temperatures of hot and cold foods; report and correct negative results.
  • Properly discard expired or contaminated foods.
  • Maintain proper hand washing, glove use, and hair restraint practices.
  • Comply with infection control and universal precaution policies and wear required protective gear.
Food Preparation
  • Prevent cross‑contamination by following standardized methods.
  • Prepare foods using recipes and production worksheets that meet special diet requirements.
  • Use tools such as spreadsheets and prep‑at‑a‑glance guides to ensure timely, correct meal production and portion control.
  • Serve foods within meal hours, preserving quality, temperature, and appearance.
General Food Service Duties
  • Serve meals according to facility methods and portion control guidelines.
  • Perform daily and scheduled kitchen and equipment cleaning per sanitation procedures.
  • Properly clean and sanitize work areas after each task.
  • Set up and clean dining rooms, tables, and condiments after use.
  • Store, chill, and reheat leftovers for later use.
  • Assist other department staff to ensure timely production, service, and clean‑up.
  • Complete kitchen close duties (PM shift) as directed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Food handlers’ card required.
  • Previous experience preferred.
  • Fundamental understanding of sanitations, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
  • Effective communication with co‑workers, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
