The Server Assistant plays a crucial support role to the food service staff, responsible for clearing tables, removing used dishes, refilling water glasses, and resetting tables for new guests. The role maintains a smooth and efficient dining experience, supports the waitstaff, and keeps the dining area clean and orderly. Good customer service skills are required as they will interact with guests in the dining areas.

• Follow up on all service details for Food Servers and Supervisors
• Maintain work areas clean and organized
• Maintain cleanliness of work area
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately
• Set and clear tables according to standards
• Stock areas with linen, glassware and silver
• Assist Servers in servicing the guest
• Complete all opening and closing side work, including stocking plates, silverware, filling coffee grinder, filling wine buckets, cleaning floor, wiping booths and chairs, moving tables and chairs, pushing dirty linen to storage area, putting away china, setting out and lighting candles
• Stock bus station, as assigned
• Attend required meetings
• Communicate with manager before leaving shift
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor, including cross training
• Seat guests

• Good communication skills: able to speak English and interact with customers and co-workers
• Previous restaurant experience in a similar role is preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physically able to lift equipment, trays with food, and move tables and chairs
