Base Pay Range
$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities- Open and close the store, including all required systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Hold store keys to open and close without management when necessary.
- Process product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers, offering assistance, resolving issues, and sharing best practices with team members.
- Assist with and coach team members on the warehouse and vendor ordering process, opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries and reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
- Register all related sales on assigned cash registers, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
- Evaluate and develop displays and promotional merchandise, completing resets and revisions.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities in all basic departments, stockroom, and overstock locations, and ensure the Outdate program is followed.
- Make basic department pricing changes, ensuring proper signage is displayed to support accurate pricing of products and completing any additional pricing tasks related to local regulations and compliance programs within required time frames.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment as requested.
- Maintain clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, requesting store or system repairs as required.
- Separate food items, stock rotation, and first‑in, first‑out restocking as specified by policies and procedures.
- Possess working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Assist with pharmacy at the out window as requested and ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
- Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store, comply with all company policies and procedures, maintain respectful relationships with coworkers, and complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Employ qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
