SALES ASSOCIATE (OKC/FT/Non-Driver) at Mathis Home

Pay during training: $15/hr for 2 weeks. After training, pay will be $15/hr or commission, whichever is greater, for the first 90 days. After 90 days, compensation is straight commission.

• Promote and sell merchandise displayed on the showroom floor.
• Work directly with internal and external customers; follow up with customer orders and inquiries.
• Assist with product problems in conjunction with customer service and warehouse operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met.
• Ask customers about products, pricing, availability, and uses to understand needs.
• Explain product features and benefits in a way customers can understand; recommend products based on customer needs.
• Prepare sales tickets and assist customers in product selections.
• Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of products.
• Stay educated on new products, policies, and current promotions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of selling methods and maintain excellent customer relations.
• Follow up with customers by email and phone; perform other duties as directed by management.

• Ability to lift merchandise up to 40 lbs to move furniture; walk or stand for long periods.
• Effective communication with team members and customers.
• Sales experience is preferred but not required; positive attitude is essential.
