The primary purpose of this position, INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST, GG-0132-13 is to provide cyber intelligence support to software development programs across acquisition and sustainment life cycles.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: serving as a multi-source intelligence analyst engaging in the complex technical research, analysis, interpretation, assessment, and production of information obtained and processed from one or more intelligence sources in support of life cycle management and customer requirements.

KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

(KSAs)
  • Extensive knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed cyber intelligence capabilities and cyber threat assessments, identify cyber-related intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customers cybersecurity requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of acquisition and sustainment policy and guidance, and the role cyber intelligence plays throughout a weapon system's life cycle; acquisition and sustainment intelligence analysis mission and strategy; and the roles and responsibilities of field intelligence offices in support of DAF research laboratories, acquisition program offices, and life cycle management, nuclear, sustainment, and system testing enterprises.
  • Extensive knowledge of the intelligence cycle, intelligence policy and guidance, and the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations-particularly as it pertains to cyber threat intelligence collection, analysis, and production.
  • Extensive knowledge of software development principles and processes as they relate to software development activities supporting acquisition and sustainment life cycles; to include an understanding of software development tools/systems and their associated vulnerabilities and susceptibility to insider or adversarial manipulation.
  • Comprehensive skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of customers' cyber threat and cyber risk management needs.
  • Expert skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes.
  • Expert ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively.
  • PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE

    Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

    VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE

    Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
