** Job Description**#
Key Duties:
* Maintain positive relations with visitors, being courteous, respectful, and exercising flexibility to best serve the public during all work activities.
* Prepares for public programs/presentations and exhibitions/displays relating to the site's mission statement. Giving tours through the historic home and providing information on the site history.
* Performs museum duties, including cash register operation, securing, and processing revenue according to policy and procedure, taking inventory and stocking museum store merchandise.
* Conducts maintenance tasks in assigned work areas including inspection of structures and grounds. Work activities in this area include contributing to a safe, secure, clean, and orderly environment for the public and staff. Cleaning of the historic home and museum building and attached porches, cleaning all site public restrooms, cleaning ranch outbuildings: blacksmith shop, big barn, log cabin, and observation tower.
* Up to 19 hours a week.
* Must be able to work weekends.#
