Position Summary:

The Part-Time Case Manager is an integral part of City Rescue Mission's One Door OKC Project and is responsible for providing weekend emergency response, family assessment, crisis stabilization, and immediate housing problem-solving, with coordinated handoffs for continued services. This position works with CRM staff and community partners to provide timely, compassionate, housing-focused services, maintain accurate documentation, and help families move toward safe and sustainable housing.

The Part-Time Case Manager follows established CRM procedures, maintains professional boundaries, and coordinates clear handoffs, so families receive consistent services. The assigned schedule is 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on weekends.

Essential Functions:

Welcome and engage families seeking emergency assistance on weekends with a respectful, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach.

Explain the One Door OKC Project process, expected wait times, available services, client rights and responsibilities, and next steps in clear and accessible language.

Manage weekend family contacts, emergency requests, telephone inquiries, and communication with available CRM staff and community resources.

Provide weekend emergency coverage, respond to immediate family needs, and coordinate crisis stabilization and housing problem-solving within established protocols.

Complete assigned weekend triage and family assessments using current Key to Home/Continuum of Care tools, decision rules, and CRM procedures.

Gather accurate information regarding each family’s immediate situation, recent housing history, current risks, natural supports, available resources, barriers, and reason for seeking services.

Identify urgent medical, behavioral health, safety, exploitation, domestic violence, trafficking, suicide or self-harm, intoxication, or other crisis indicators and immediately follow established escalation and emergency-response procedures.

Explore safe, immediate alternatives to shelter and practical resources to resolve or stabilize the family’s housing crisis during the weekend.

Consult the designated supervisor or on-call contact for complex, high-risk, or unresolved situations; act only within established weekend protocols and delegated authority.

Help families complete urgent calls, referrals, transportation arrangements, and other actions needed to access available weekend services.

Connect families with appropriate community resources, including housing, benefits, employment, identification, transportation, food, health care, behavioral health, substance-use treatment, legal services, veteran services, and other supports.

Use warm handoffs whenever possible by contacting the receiving provider, confirming eligibility or next steps, and reducing barriers to successful connection.

When emergency shelter or temporary placement is indicated, coordinate access under established eligibility and placement procedures and document the continuing housing-resolution plan.

Provide transportation to families as needed to facilitate access to appointments, resources, and services, in accordance with agency policy.

Use de-escalation skills, maintain professional boundaries, and follow all safety, incident-reporting, mandatory-reporting, emergency, and workplace-violence…
