Role & responsibilities

Design and lead the architecture of scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performance backend systems.
Translate business and technical requirements into robust backend architecture and technical specifications.
Design and develop backend services, microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed applications.
Define architecture standards, coding guidelines, design patterns, and backend engineering best practices.

Drive the adoption of CI/CD, automated testing, containerization, and Dev Ops practices.
Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability to improve system reliability.
Collaborate with frontend, mobile, Dev Ops, QA, security, product, and infrastructure teams.
Lead application modernization, legacy-system migration, and backend performance optimization initiatives.
Mentor backend developers and senior engineers while providing technical guidance to development teams.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives and engineering standards.
Maintain architecture documentation, system diagrams, API specifications, and technical design documents.

Preferred candidate profile

5 to 10 years of professional experience in backend development, software engineering, and system architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with one or more backend programming languages, such as Java, Python, Go, C#, or Node.js.
Expertise in backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core, Django, FastAPI, or NestJS.
Proven experience designing scalable, distributed systems, microservices, and high-throughput backend applications.
Strong understanding of system design, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, SOLID principles, and domain-driven design.
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and enterprise application integrations.
Strong knowledge of relational and No

SQL databases, including database design, indexing, query optimization, and transaction management.
Experience with caching solutions such as Redis and messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or cloud-based messaging services.

Strong understanding of application security, encryption, OAuth 2.0, JWT, access control, and secure coding practices.
Experience with performance tuning, load balancing, fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Open Telemetry.
Experience leading technical initiatives, conducting architecture reviews, and mentoring engineering teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
Relevant cloud, backend development, or software architecture certifications are preferred.
