Position: Healthy Living & Aquatics Coordinator, Pete White Wellness Center (YMCA)

Description

The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to join our team as a Dual Role Aquatics and Healthy Living Coordinator. This position offers an exciting opportunity to promote wellness, safety, and community engagement through both aquatic programs and healthy living initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee aquatic programs including swim lessons, water safety courses, and recreational swimming activities.
  • Ensure the safety of all participants by maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and supervising aquatic facilities.
  • Plan and coordinate healthy living programs such as fitness classes, wellness workshops, and community health initiatives.
  • Promote member engagement and retention through innovative programming and excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with staff and community partners to enhance program offerings and outreach efforts.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, facilities, and supplies related to aquatic and healthy living activities.
  • Track program participation, evaluate effectiveness, and adjust offerings to meet community needs.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in aquatics or health and wellness preferred.
  • Lifeguard certification and CPR/AED certification required; water safety instructor certification a plus.
  • Experience in aquatic programming, fitness instruction, or health promotion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse community members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Organizational skills with attention to safety, detail, and program quality.
  • Passion for promoting healthy living and community wellness.
