This is a part‑time position requiring availability for ten flying days per month, with approximately four hours of flight time on each assigned day.
We are seeking an experienced and professional instructor pilot with a Boeing 737NG type rating to join our team. The instructor pilot will ensure the safe and efficient operation of flights, adhering to all company policies, aviation regulations, and operational procedures. This position requires exceptional observational skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities- Provide subject matter expertise to customer pilots on the operation of the Boeing 737NG aircraft as required by the customer.
- Serve as Pilot‑in‑Command (PIC) on Boeing 737NG aircraft as required by the customer.
- Assist with pre‑flight planning, including weather assessment, fuel requirements, weight and balance, and route analysis when required by the customer.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Public Use Aircraft regulations.
- Coordinate with ground crew, air traffic control, and dispatch to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
- Conduct pre‑flight and post‑flight aircraft inspections to verify airworthiness.
- Ensure adherence to company safety protocols, irregular, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain currency in company aircraft and adhere to flight department policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Boeing 737NG type rating.
- Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot certificate with a multiengine rating, unless a former military pilot, in which case a Commercial Pilot certificate with an instrument rating and an FAA issued B‑737 type rating is acceptable.
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
- Multi‑Engine Instructor Certificate (MEI).
- Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII).
- Minimum 2,500 hours total pilot time (1,500 if a former military pilot operating multiengine aircraft not limited to centerline thrust), including 250 hours night, 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time (with at least 50 hours in actual flight).
- Minimum 500 hours turbojet experience, with at least 100 hours turbojet flight time in the past 12 calendar months and 50 hours in a turbojet aircraft or level C or D simulator.
- 500 hours acquired within the preceding three years as Pilot in Command time in Jet Aircraft.
- 300 hours Pilot‑in‑Command on the B‑737NG.
- 350 hours turbine engine instructor or check pilot time.
- Minimum Second‑Class Medical Certificate.
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from a four‑year college or university.
- Prior Instructor Pilot experience in the U.S. Military.

- Flexibility to work irregular hours. Work is primarily Monday through Friday, with 2‑3 days of flying up to 8‑hour missions. Some weekends and overnight flights are required; all flights are CONUS.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Sufficient strength and dexterity to operate aircraft controls, doors, and emergency systems.
- Good vision (correctable to 20/20) and hearing, as required by FAA standards.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while supporting flight operations.
- Primarily onboard aircraft with periods in airport terminals and operational facilities.
- Exposure to varying ambient conditions during pre‑flight, flight, and post‑flight.
