Pay

$21.32/hr - $23.67/hr

General Purpose

Oversees activities in the Central Warehouse related to shipping, receiving, storing, supplies and dispatch of materials to ensure effective and efficient operations and material transportation.

Responsibilities
  • Depending on the assigned department, employee may be required to perform tasks in the shipping, receiving, inventory, small or large tools operations.
  • Responsible for adhering to all processes with little to no supervision.
  • Communicate to leadership and internal stakeholders when deviation of the standard process occurs and propose solutions to correct the process.
  • Safely load, transfer, and unload palletized and non‑palletized materials using assigned equipment.
  • Perform basic transactions in SAP as well as troubleshoot and resolve common errors in SAP to maintain accurate and timely inventory data.
  • We will internally certify you to inspect rigging materials.
  • Guide and coach peers and new hires on standard processes within the assigned work area.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Functions
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work off of step stools and ladders.
  • Weight restriction:
    Able to lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, look up/down, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend.
  • Ability to constantly grip and manually manipulate items such as, but not limited to, hand tools and turbine parts.
  • Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions; color differentiation may be required in some cases.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, consistently demonstrating Vestas Core Values.
  • Support and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts.
  • Able to safely operate all equipment according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Regular & reliable attendance in adherence to the attendance policy.
  • Set a good example of personal integrity.
  • Ability to learn and interpret instructions and translate them into work.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a member of a team.
Education, Training, and Skills Required
  • 1 year of experience working in a general warehouse, distribution centre, or production environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of stock control, inventory management practices and procedures preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift and reach truck preferred.
  • Experience working within SAP preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail & ability to follow directions with precise execution.
  • Ability to read, interpret & understand basic drawings & schematics a plus.
  • Ability to read, interpret process documents.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Beginner level understanding of Microsoft Office preferred.
