Sr. Warehouse Supervisor – Hubbell Gas Utility Solutions (HGUS)
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, accurate order fulfillment, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role leads a team of warehouse associates and works closely with cross‑functional departments to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Day In The Life- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Train, coach, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance and morale.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and production teams to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of warehouse transactions and generate reports as needed.
- Run warehouse transaction reports and fix negatives and COGIS.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and safety.
- Resolve operational issues and, when necessary, escalated to management.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and operational, coordinating repairs as needed.
- Drive Kaizen events to improve warehouse efficiencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of Lean knowledge.
- 5+ years of warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems, SAP WMS & IM, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Forklift certification preferred.
