Bookkeeper – Franchise Location

Join H&R Block as an experienced Bookkeeper delivering exceptional bookkeeping, payroll, and customer service. You’ll be an integral part of delivering on our brand purpose to provide help, inspire communities, and meet the needs of our clients.

• Post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers
• Reconcile and balance accounts
• Generate and analyze financial statements
• Prepare and process payroll
• Generate 1099s and W2s, calculate and prepare tax statements
• Communicate with clients, client suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts
• Assist in client retention and client growth opportunities

• High school diploma or equivalent
• National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or the ability to successfully obtain certifications
• 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles & procedures
• Ability to correctly interpret and apply complete instructions, policies, and regulations
• Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Analytical skills and an eye for detail
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to multi‑task and work independently

• Experience with Xero accounting software
• An understanding of franchise operations and ability to work under franchise agreements

This office is an independently owned and operated franchise office operating under an agreement with H&R Block.
