Direct Sourcing Buyer

Our client, a global leading organization in the health and wellness industry, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Direct Sourcing Analyst to join their team in Parsippany, NJ. As a vital member of the Health Procurement Team, you will play a key role in sourcing and managing external manufacturing suppliers, supporting innovation, and ensuring supply chain excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Job Title: Direct Sourcing Buyer

Location: Parsippany, New Jersey

Pay Range: $38.00/HR + Benefits

Contract Duration: 6+ Months W2 Contract, potential to extend contract up to 2 years then hire on permanently

Job Function:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for external manufacturing suppliers within the Vitamin, Mineral, and Supplement (VMS) sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders in Marketing and R&D to support innovation pipelines.
• Manage projects to ensure business continuity, cost reduction, and optimal supply chain performance.
• Negotiate and manage payment terms, purchase prices, and supplier performance to improve gross margin and net revenue.
• Support new product development by ensuring timely launches at competitive prices while maintaining high quality standards.

• 3+ years experience in procurement, DIRECT SOURCING, or supply chain management within the health, wellness, or related industries (PREFERRED GLOBAL ORGANIZATIONEXPERIENCE)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct benchmark studies and financial performance analysis.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and suppliers.
• Knowledge of supply base technologies and the US manufacturing landscape.
• Ability to develop strategic plans to reduce supplier base and enhance partnerships.
