Manifest Solutions is currently seeking an Environmental Technician for an onsite position in Oologah, OK.
- Perform environmental inspections within the assigned region using approved forms and methods within regulatory time frames.
- Communicate deviations appropriately.
- Collect data as needed to support environmental compliance reporting using approved methods.
- Prepare and submit reports as assigned.
- Advise and quality assure field activities in support of the assigned region to ensure compliance with environmental laws and permits.
- Provide training instruction and assistance to others on the implementation of environmental permit and regulatory requirements.
- Promote and enforce (see something, say something, do something) safe work practices to safeguard employees, contractors, the general public, and Company facilities.
- Provide support during environmental compliance reviews.
- Effectively communicate environmental compliance issues to appropriate internal parties.
- Maintain all environmental documents and records in accordance with environmental content management standards.
- Since a considerable amount of time will be spend driving from one asset to the other, safe driving techniques and practices are essential.
- High School diploma or preferred associate or bachelor's degree in an environmental, science, or related discipline.
- Previous military experience will be considered to meet the associate degree requirement.
- Minimum of three years of experience with an associate degree. At least one year of experience with a bachelor's degree. Minimum of five years of experience with a high school diploma.
- Valid driver’s license
- NPDES Construction Stormwater Permits
- State & Local Permits for Erosion & Sediment Control
- Above ground and underground storage tanks
- Transportation of hazardous materials
- Solid and hazardous waste management
- Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures
- Wastewater, storm water, groundwater, and drinking water sampling, reporting and control
- Oil and chemical spill response and management
- Air emissions monitoring, control and reporting
- Asbestos and PCB management
- Pollution prevention
- Environmental site assessments
- Emergency planning, and community right-to-know
- Key competencies of this position are technical expertise, planning and organization ability, attention to detail, written and oral communication skills and initiative.
