Packaging Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the consumer goods industry, is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join their team. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the Packaging Development Department supporting the Packaging Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and most importantly experience with CAD.

Job Title: Packaging Engineer I

Location: Clark, NJ

Pay Range: $25.74 per hour

Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension to 2 years

• Assemble packaging prototypes for consumer testing to evaluate design and functionality.
• Participate in managing the development of new tooling to support packaging innovations.
• Understand and learn how to push division, operations, and vendors to meet key project deadlines.
• Anticipate and resolve potential blocking points to ensure successful project launches.
• Learn and apply knowledge of packaging specifications, testing procedures, and troubleshooting technical issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in package engineering and development, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office, PowerPoint, CAD software, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of the packaging production process and attention to design details and quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sensitivity to diverse global cultures.
