Our client, a leading organization in the automotive manufacturing industry, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer 5 to join their team. As a Supplier Quality Engineer 5, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting manufacturing and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer 5 Location: Flint, MI Pay Range: depends on years of experience SHIFT: OFF Shift QE Work 11:00PM to 7:00 AM What's the Job?

• Serve as the technical liaison between purchasing, product engineering, internal manufacturing, and external suppliers.
• Review and approve supplier quality plans for new component parts and assemblies for vehicle and powertrain programs.
• Implement and monitor supplier part qualification and certification processes.
• Identify root causes of manufacturing issues and develop effective, timely solutions.
• Conduct onsite workshops and provide technical support to improve supplier quality performance.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in quality engineering within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality, manufacturing, and engineering functions.
• Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, and statistical problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
