Medical Assistant (MA & CMA) – Part Time
Hamilton Health Box is a rapidly growing healthcare startup providing hybrid telemedicine-enabled primary care clinics. We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant (MA & CMA) to support our clinicians as an On‑Site Clinician Assistant (OSC).
Position SummaryThe OSC is accountable to the Pod Manager and manages daily clinical and administrative operations at a Hamilton Health Box location. Responsibilities include patient scheduling and follow‑up, delivering protocol‑driven care, coordinating referrals, and supporting preventative screening and health education initiatives. The OSC communicates care barriers to the Pod Manager and participates in training and skill development. Interpersonal relationships with staff, providers, patients and the local community are essential.
Travel to local sites may be required.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure employees receive appropriate care and programs.
- Formulate individualized programs based on health risk assessment results and adjust them as needed.
- Assist with annual physicals, placement examinations, screenings, testing, and results reporting.
- Help schedule and complete follow‑up exams, return‑to‑work exams, and consultations.
- Coordinate client referrals to other providers; arrange or perform follow‑up evaluations with detailed documentation.
- Participate in formal group classes, health fairs, and training sessions for regulatory requirements.
- Collect and interpret data on one‑on‑ones and program offerings, ensuring timely documentation.
- Provide one‑on‑one counseling/coaching with clients, interpreting screening results and recommending actions.
- Consult with employees regarding health awareness, education, and care navigation.
- Consult with internal and external partners to provide care navigation and build teams and partnerships.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following regulatory agency and organizational policies.
- Perform other responsibilities as requested by the PA/Nurse/Medical Assistant.
- Work within electronic medical records and other software to register patients, document visits, and deliver health education.
- Other tasks as specified in the HHB OSC Training Manual.
- May need to travel between clinics.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

- Knowledge of disease and lifestyle topics such as smoking cessation, weight management, nutrition, stress reduction, and chronic conditions.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Smartphone required – 250 MB for time‑keeping app.
- Medical Assistant (licensed MA preferred).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) – required prior to onboarding (American Heart Association or Red Cross only).
