Travel Occupational Therapist - Skilled Nursing Facility

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a long-term care facility, requiring 1+ years of experience and prior LTC or rehab setting experience.

• Active OT license required (if applicable)
• 1+ years of OT experience required
• LTC, SNF, or rehab setting experience required
• New grads considered if they completed Level II fieldwork experience

• Long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, and modalities
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
• Communicate with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
• Document all required clinical and regulatory information in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other required facility meetings
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to NBCOT and state practice acts and code of conduct
• Up to 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment
