Compensation and Benefits
- Base Salary of $80,000-$100,000 based on experience
- Paid Time Off of 80 hours annually, plus holidays

Our flagship property, America’s Outdoor Adventure Park, includes lodging, RV sites, food & beverage operations, events, rentals, and seasonal attractions. Position Summary
The Director of Human Resources will lead and scale all HR functions across Odyssey Resorts, starting with America’s Outdoor Adventure Park and expanding to future acquisitions. This role is both strategic and hands‑on, responsible for building systems, leading compliance, supporting leadership, and creating an exceptional employee experience across diverse teams.
This position partners closely with ownership, operations leadership, and finance to ensure people strategy aligns with long‑term business goals.
Key Responsibilities – Strategic HR Leadership- Build and execute company‑wide HR strategy to support multi‑property growth
- Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and senior leadership
- Develop scalable HR systems, policies, and procedures for current and future properties
- Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for all resort and corporate roles
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational structure, and succession planning
- Ensure consistent hiring practices across properties
- Lead employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
- Develop performance management frameworks, reviews, and leadership development tools
- Coach managers on people leadership and accountability
- Oversee benefits administration and coordination across teams
- Partner with the corporate finance team to ensure accurate, compliant payroll processes
- Evaluate compensation structures and recommend improvements as the company grows
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions
- Oversee employee handbook development and policy updates
- Manage workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and HR‑related audits
- Foster a positive, safety‑focused, and engaging work culture aligned with Odyssey’s mission
- Support employee engagement initiatives, retention strategies, and internal communication
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility
- Experience supporting hospitality, resort, retail, or multi‑location operations strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits administration, and HR compliance
- Proven ability to build HR systems from the ground up
- Excellent communication, discretion, and leadership skills
- Experience working with ownership or executive teams
