Network Technician

Our client, a leader in the energy sector, is seeking a Network Technician to join their team. As a Network Technician, you will be part of the operational support team at the Spring Lab location, contributing to vital projects that meet the world's growing energy needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to customer service, which will align successfully with the organization's mission.

Job Title: Network Technician

Location: Spring, Texas

• Manage L3 (urclab) user accounts and local non-domain user accounts.
• Oversee lab-related computer systems and current/future lab projects.
• Participate in the domain migration of machines to a more secure standard domain.
• Conduct lab inventory and reconciliation of equipment.
• Collaborate with lab techs and vendors for technical solutions and upgrades.

• Comfortability with multiple operating systems, including Windows XP, 7, 10 & 11, and Red Hat Linux.
• Understanding of internal versus external IP addresses and troubleshooting NIC configurations.
• Familiarity with various hardware components and device drivers.
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to perform detailed research and testing.
• Ability to read and understand scripting languages; writing scripts is a plus.
