Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2, you will be part of the IT Operations supporting the Data Center team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2
Location: Quincy, WA
Pay Range:$26 - $29/hr
Day Shift A: 12-hrs (Sun-Wed) & (Sun-Tue)
- Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of hardware components such as racks, hard drives, and switches according to specific instructions and protocols.
- Conduct post-execution quality checks, ensuring proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling in accordance with safety standards and deployment guidelines.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues quickly, replacing faulty components as needed.
- Decommission hardware for simple upgrades and refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, following standard procedures.
- Communicate, report, and elevate incidents appropriately to the Data Center Technician Leads, maintaining clear documentation.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and related components.
- At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
