Support Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and financial services sector, is seeking a Support Engineer to join their team. As a Support Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting the development and support teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Support Engineer

Location: Rockville, Maryland

• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex user issues, providing deep technical troubleshooting and support.
• Analyze logs across cloud infrastructure using tools like Splunk and Cloud Watch to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Implement bug fixes and minor code changes based on user reports and log analysis.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing strategies to ensure system reliability and quality.
• Document issues, resolutions, and test results clearly, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

• 5+ years of software development experience with expertise in Python.
• Strong proficiency in Postgre
  
  SQL and relational database concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Aurora, and Lambda.
• Experience with application logging and log analysis tools like Splunk and Cloud Watch.
• Proven ability to design and implement test strategies and automated testing frameworks.
