Commercial Insurance Account Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in the insurance and risk management industry, is seeking a Account Specialist to join their team. As a Account Specialist , you will be part of the Operations Department supporting client servicing and account management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Commercial Insurance Account Specialist
Location: Bannockburn, Illinois
Pay Range: $26-$32/hr
Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)

• Assist Account Executives and Brokers with managing assigned accounts and key processes.
• Retrieve and process compliance documentation for renewals, invoices, and surplus lines filings.
• Support in initiating renewals, processing invoices, issuing auto IDs, and handling client requests.
• Mentor and assist junior staff with complex account functions and ensure accuracy of system records.
• Participate in client and office visits, and manage special projects related to client accounts.

• 3-5 years of commercial insurance experience.
• Understanding of operational processes and ability to work with moderate supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; experience with VLOOKUP is a plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Maintain or obtain an active insurance broker license within six months of hire.
