The Facility Manager (FM) plans, directs and coordinates all work related to the EMCOR Facilities Services scope of responsibility at a site. The FM ensures client expectations, site KPIs and EMCOR goals are achieved, develops action plans and root‑cause analysis to improve services, manages safety and operational meetings, responds to breakdowns and emergency calls, and serves as the primary interface between EMCOR and the client.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plan, schedule and coordinate all work through the CMMS system and facilitate Daily Maintenance Planning (DMP) meetings.
- Organize workload to manage day‑to‑day activities, supervise teammates and subcontractors, and ensure work is executed safely, on time and to EMCOR quality standards.
- Build relationships with clients, participate in client meetings to understand priorities and make recommendations to improve facility productivity, quality of service, and cost.
- Model company and client policies and procedures, identify, analyze and resolve problems in a team environment.
- Foster a positive work environment, provide training, mentorship and performance management.
- Manage small projects on site, interact with the EMCOR corporate project team, and assist with proposals, scope of work documents and project execution.
- Follow up on punch‑list items and provide feedback to the corporate project team.
- Evaluate physical buildings, assets, equipment and processes for compliance with company and client standards.
- Manage all operational, safety and financial KPIs (budget, accruals and savings) and develop action plans when necessary.
- Develop and deliver presentations to internal and customer audiences related to site performance.
- Manage vendor safety and performance, participate in subcontractor performance reviews and promote a commitment to environmental health and safety by leading toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Investigate concerns, escalating issues to EMCOR operation and safety management resources and making recommendations for resolution.
- Understand all compliance‑related services in scope and ensure execution and documentation exceed all potential compliance audit requirements.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Business
Experience:
Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in facilities management and team leadership. - Licenses/Certifications:
OSHA 10‑hour and/or 30‑hour card (required), Facility Maintenance Professional (FMP), Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) certification (plus). - Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with enterprise software and CMMS required; experience with Corrigo a plus. - Language
