Lease Operator

Overview

Validus Energy is seeking a Lease Operator who is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of assigned oil and gas processing equipment, including identifying problems, documentation and production reporting. The role includes daily upkeep and maintenance of oil wells, and operating oil production and injection equipment according to standard operating procedures. Reports to the Production Foreman.

• Monitor, maintain and report on the production operations of wells and production facilities.
• Monitor and maintain equipment such as pressurized vessels, compressors, generators, artificial lifts, computers, vehicles and automation equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Operate oil and gas wells, as well as water disposal facilities.
• Enter daily production data into the field data capturing system.
• Perform minor repairs on surface equipment.
• Monitor gauges and tests to ensure accuracy of oil and water run tickets.
• Work with the Production Foreman and EHS Manager to maintain company policies and regulatory, environmental and safety compliance.
• Represent the company in the communities where we operate with integrity.
• Perform other related responsibilities as required or assigned.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year of experience in the oil and gas industry required; minimum of 3 years Lease Operator experience preferred;
  Anadarko Basin experience preferred;
  Well View/Prod View experience preferred.

• Ability to tolerate prolonged shifts involving standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying weights up to 50 lbs.
• Work in and around industrial settings with potential hazards, including H2S, and exposure to outdoor conditions; may require appropriate PPE.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
• Subject to call-outs to respond to operational issues after hours, at night, and on weekends and holidays.
