Key Job Responsibilities- Operate cutting and assembly machinery.
- Stack and cut lumber.
- Build pallets and crates.
- Load and operate cutting and assembly machinery.
- Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Check components for quality.
- Identify wood species and grade of material.
- Read and interpret job orders.
- Self‑motivated, meet daily expectations of supervisor.
- Good judgment, maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Maintain acceptable attendance record.
- Work in a team environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with automation machinery, air tools including nail guns and other manufacturing tools.
- Ability to read and interpret job orders.
- Effective listening and communication with co‑workers, customers, management.
- Apply basic math to job order verification.
- Use tape measure.
- Follow written or oral instructions.
- Self‑motivated, limited independent judgment.
- Define problems, establish facts, draw conclusions.
- Interpret assorted tasks or instructions.
Stand 100% of the time. Use hand, finger, handle. Reach and arm movements. Stoop, kneel, crouch. Repetitive motions. Regularly lift 40 lbs, frequently 50 lbs, occasionally 100 lbs. Requires close vision, peripheral vision, focus.
Work EnvironmentIndoor and partial outdoor manufacturing environment. Noise level moderate to high. Require hearing protection. Wear PPE. Possible exposure to weather. Structured work environment. Lunches and breaks regulated. Notify supervisor when leaving work area.
