MVP Holdings is a privately owned energy logistics company headquartered in Wichita, KS. MVP and its subsidiaries provide gathering, transportation, processing, storage, distribution, marketing and other midstream services to independent oil and natural gas producers, refiners of petroleum and products and other market participants located throughout the United States.
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Operator to join our team in Hennessey, OK. This position is responsible for pipeline and truck station operations, including overall operations of facilities, maintenance, internal projects, and regulatory requirements with financial controls, safety, and regulatory support. EssentialFunctions
- Inspect, Troubleshoot, Calibrate and Maintain all field equipment.
- Perform monthly DOT tankage inspections, fire extinguisher inspections, and maintain associated records.
- Inspect perimeter fencing, locks, etc. to maintain proper facility, pipeline and ROW security and to address and report any infractions.
- Inspect and assure that routine and DOT compliance maintenance is performed on ROW, equipment, and valves.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements with regulatory support and safe work practices.
- Maintain communications with Pipeline Control Center.
- Perform Pipeline locates on One Calls, oversee pipeline crossings, and file Exposed Pipe Reports.
- Take meter readings, tank gauges and complete reports.
- Oversee crude oil measurement gain / loss activities.
- Responsible to witness meter proving, crude oil shipment to delivery point and run pipeline pigs.
- Help manage assigned expense and capital maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies & procedures, lead emergency response activities, and
- Installing and maintaining permanent/ temporary pipeline markers.
- Sample pot workings.
- Follow all safety requirements and perform all damage prevention and public education activities and tasks.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by management.
- Knowledge of pipeline and truck station operations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all certifications for Haz Mat, Operator Qualifications, Safety, and any other regulatory requirements.
- Intermediate knowledge of minor mechanical tools and repairs.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to interface with individuals inside and outside the company, (i.e., public officials, regulators, engineers, business professionals, contractors and others)
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals).
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, etc) and industry related software.
- Knowledge of operating costs associated with the equipment in area of responsibility.
- Ability to gain knowledge and stay abreast of company policies, company practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to critically evaluate complex situations and make decisions.
- Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Requires a valid Driver’s License.
- Experience in line locating/pipeline crossings.
- Experience in pipeline equipment repairs. (valves, pumps, transmitters, etc.)
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use arms, legs, and moving the whole body.
- to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, stand and kneel for an extensive amount of time.
- Ability to grasp and use hand tools and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs frequently.
- Must be able to work in extreme temperature due to weather conditions and operating conditions.
- Ability to frequently travel to field sites.
- Ability to periodically travel for extended periods of time, including overnight stays.
- Ability to be available for responding to emergency situations after work hours, nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
