A Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up the press brake machine and running the job.

• Operator Press Brake Equipment:
  Setup and operate with the correct tooling.
• Run test part to ensure setup is correct.
• Perform the first article check; verify that components meet quality standards by conducting inspections and documenting results. Report any discrepancies or non-conformances to lead or manager.
• Submit verified first article to quality team for acceptance on traveler.
• Continue to self-inspect part throughout the run to ensure quality. Log into a job via the data collection system; keep track of times on job.
• Review the job and count the parts to be worked daily.
• Log out of the job via the data collection system after completing the job.
• Video process for repeatability next time.
• Break down setup and put tooling away.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with co-workers and lead to troubleshoot any issues.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate documents (work traveler / part tags / etc.).
• Read & interpret blueprints, specifications & other internal documents.
• Use inspection equipment such as gauges/tooling.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have 5+ years of experience operating press brakes (Amada Machines preferred).
• Understanding and ability to define and communicate (both verbally & written).
• Blueprint reading, including full scale millars.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Press brake machine setup skills.
• Use hand‑held measuring tools and general tool knowledge.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Self‑starter requiring minimal supervision.
• Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Position may require use of hands & arms with repetitive motion & reach.
• Position may require manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
• Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
• Position may require the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Position may require the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Position may require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Position may require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 30-75 pounds (50-75 lbs would have partner assistance).
• Position may require activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.

The plant is a machining environment, collaborating with quality control teams and other technicians to ensure the highest precision in parts and products. The role may involve working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment where attention to detail is crucial. Safety glasses are always required in production areas. OSHA regulations are followed.
