Manufacturing Engineer; 1st Shift

Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (1st Shift) to join their team.

As a Manufacturing Engineer (1st Shift), you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, innovative thinking, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (1st Shift)

Location: GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan

Pay Range: $45-$49/HR

• Lead the introduction of new products into the manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth integration and operational success.
• Improve productivity and profitability of existing production processes through innovative evaluation and process optimization.
• Act as a technical expert in process technology, providing ongoing support throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Identify areas for process improvement, evaluate costs, and justify changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support manufacturing floors by diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.

• Possession of a 4-year technical degree or equivalent education.
• Strong analysis skills in process, capacity, cost/benefit, and quality tools.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, material handling, and productivity improvement methods.
• Experience with design, specification, purchase, and installation of new equipment.
• Proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel and Access, and familiarity with simulation and process modeling.
