Position OverviewWe are seeking a General Helper to support daily shop and yard operations. This role involves mechanical assembly work, material handling, and shipping preparation in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesBolt up large valves using torque wrenches and basic mechanical tools Move and stage pipe spools and materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and during trailer loading Prepare, palletize, and process shipments for outbound delivery Assist with shipping & receiving activities as needed Maintain clean and organized work areas Follow safety procedures and shop protocols at all times Perform additional general labor tasks as assigned
QualificationsPrevious industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical experience preferred Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and overhead cranes Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on feet for extended periods Strong mechanical aptitude and basic tool experience Reliable, safety-minded, and self-motivated Good attendance and dependability required
