PRN Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN - Med​/Surg

Overview

Holdenville General Hospital is seeking a compassionate, team-oriented PRN LPN to support our Med/Surg unit. This role is perfect for an LPN who enjoys a broad scope of practice, close collaboration with RNs and providers, and caring for patients across the lifespan.

• Provide safe, age-appropriate nursing care within LPN scope under RN/provider direction.
• Perform focused assessments and report changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy; start/monitor IVs per state scope and hospital policy.
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient/family education.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.
• Assist with specimen collection, wound care, catheter care, and basic telemetry monitoring.
• Promote a clean, safe environment and follow infection-prevention practices.

• Required:
  • Current LPN license in good standing (state of Oklahoma or compact).
  • BLS certification.
• Preferred:
  • Experience in critical access/rural hospital settings; ability to cross-train to Swing Bed.
  • EHR proficiency (e.g., Cerner, Epic, Meditech).
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and professionalism.
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
• Sound clinical judgment and attention to detail in a fast-moving, small-team environment.

Must be able to pass a background check and complete a pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
