Sulphur Animal Clinic emphasizes interactive learning and hands-on experience. We provide a supportive, family-like environment for our team members to learn and grow. Students will be exposed to diagnostic tools such as radiology, ultrasound, hematology, and cytology. Our friendly staff is dedicated to supporting students' learning.
Externs will work closely with Associate Veterinarians to gain experience in patient histories, physical exams, treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, surgical procedures, and medical management. They will also have opportunities to enhance their communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
Externship durations range from two to eight weeks, depending on schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate. Students in the clinical phase of their education may be eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. View stipend amounts and details on the stipend program.
